Why we started Banja
We started Banja to work directly with founders and operators on the products their businesses need. We bring product strategy, design and engineering into the same team, so the people making the decisions also understand the work needed to build them.
The people doing the work
Banja was founded by Alex Berriman and Jack Willis-Craig. Alex works across product direction and software engineering. Jack brings engineering and security experience, including eight years at Amazon and AWS.
We are based in North Sydney and work with businesses across Australia and beyond.
How we work
We start with the business, the users and the constraints. That helps us agree on what to build, what can wait and how to review progress.
The work can include a new web or mobile product, an existing platform that needs further development, or business workflows that could benefit from AI. Scope, timing and commercial terms are agreed for each engagement.
Working software gives everyone something concrete to review. We stay involved through design, engineering and launch, with support and further development agreed around the product's needs.
Products of our own
We also build and operate our own products. Boosta, Cardvark and mixxi keep us close to what happens after launch: users, support, infrastructure and the next release.
