Controlling Act: Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) - the National Employment Standards (NES) in Part 2-2 of that Act.

1. Paid annual leave: 4 weeks per year.
   - For a full-time national-system employee, s 87 of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) provides 4 weeks of paid annual leave for each year of service. (Certain shift workers get 5 weeks, but the standard minimum is 4.)

2. Maximum ordinary weekly hours: 38 hours per week.
   - Section 62 of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) sets the maximum ordinary hours for a full-time employee at 38 hours per week, plus reasonable additional hours.
