Controlling Act: Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth).

Under the National Employment Standards (NES) in that Act, the two minimums for a full-time national-system employee are:

1. Paid annual leave: 4 weeks per year.
   - Working: Section 87 of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) sets paid annual leave at 4 weeks for each year of service for an employee other than a shiftworker (a qualifying shiftworker gets 5 weeks). As a whole number of weeks, the minimum is 4.

2. Maximum ordinary weekly hours: 38 hours.
   - Working: Section 62 of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) caps an employee's ordinary hours of work at 38 hours per week for a full-time employee, plus any additional hours that are reasonable.
