The Australian national minimum wage from 1 July 2025 for the 2025-26 year is $24.95 per hour.

Working: The Fair Work Commission's Annual Wage Review 2024-25 decision applied a 3.5% increase to the national minimum wage, effective from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2025. The 2024-25 rate was $24.10 per hour. Applying the increase: $24.10 x 1.035 = $24.94, set by the Commission at $24.95 per hour. This is the base hourly rate for an adult employee not covered by an award or registered agreement, before any casual loading.

The body that sets the national minimum wage each year is the Fair Work Commission, through the Expert Panel in its Annual Wage Review.
